Terms of Use

Effective 1 September 2026

These terms cover your use of the Rendition app. Rendition is also licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which applies in full; where these terms are silent, that agreement governs.

Rendition Pro

What Pro unlocks

Importing recipes from cooking videos and social posts, translation, and recipe variations. Writing recipes, importing from websites, meal planning, the grocery list, and the pantry remain free.

Importing other people's content

Rendition helps you read a recipe from a page or video you choose. You are responsible for having the right to use what you import, and for respecting the terms of the sites and services you take it from. Rendition does not store or redistribute the videos it reads; it keeps the recipe. Imported recipes keep their source and attribution so credit stays with whoever wrote them.

Recipes are drafts, and cooking is your judgment

Recipes produced from a page or video are generated automatically and may be wrong — a misheard quantity, a missing step, an ingredient that was never said aloud. Rendition marks what it was unsure of and asks you to review before saving. Check anything that matters, especially cooking temperatures, times, and allergens. Rendition is not a food-safety, nutrition, or medical authority, and grilling-weather guidance is advisory only — it never replaces your own judgment about fire, appliances, or food safety.

Acceptable use

Do not use Rendition to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. Automated or excessive use of the import service may be rate-limited or suspended.

Availability and warranty

Rendition is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. Server features may change or be unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

Changes

These terms may change; the effective date above will change with them, and continued use after that date means you accept the update.
